Function and Use:The organization utilized a team of volunteers to compile these records from the series "Records of World War II Prisoners of War, 1942-1947" (ARC Identifier 583428), the American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor (ADBC) registration cards, Roger Mansell's web site "Center for Research: Allied Prisoners of War (POWs) Under the Japanese," unit rosters, and other sources. The organization compiled these records to provide NARA with more complete data on World War II prisoners of the Japanese.
