| Function and Use: | The agency created this series to collect and maintain demographic and health information about persons who had been exposed to hazardous substances in the environment at Superfund sites or sources of Superfund relevance (such as a national emergency activity, or contaminated soil, food, or water not related to a dump site). The agency collected these data to help scientists study how long-term exposure to hazardous substances might have affected human health. It also used the system to inform registrants of the results of new research related to their exposure. |
