| Function and Use: | The agency conducted this project to enable biomedical and behavioral researchers to discover leads to the developmental disorders of childhood by relating events of pregnancy, labor and delivery, infancy, and early childhood to subsequent development of the child. The study sought to link any later appearance of physical or neurological disorder to patterns during the perinatal period in order to develop strategies for prevention and intervention. The data collected was used for a wide range of analyses about maternal health services, childbirth, child development, and child health. |
