Overall, less than 3 percent of the records are affected by these obvious errors. NARA holds the registers, for which this data file serves as a partial index, in the series "Gorgas Hospital Mortuary Records, 1906-1999." The register entries provide more detailed information about the individual than do the electronic records, including the cause of death if known and a breakdown of the fees for processing and transporting the deceased's remains. |
