| General Note(s): | Sarah Clark was the head of the Central Files section at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and was most responsible for the arrangement, maintenance, and retention of these correspondence files. In 1960, the Air Force formally designated these records as the "Sarah Clark Files" to honor her 39 year career. Approximately 3200 cubic feet of Research and Development (R & D) Project Files were included with the Sarah Clark accessions received from Wright-Patterson. These R & D files are often mistakenly referred to, or assumed to be part of, the Sarah Clark files. |
